Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard in Hendersonville, NC
I went apple picking for the first time ever, and had such a great time! We were heading up to Asheville for the Biltmore Championship and stopped at Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard in Hendersonville, NC.
It’s a traditional farm with multiple apple orchards, a 5-acre corn maze, fields of zinnias and sunflowers that you can pick, and, of course, homemade apple cider donuts.
It may be closed for the season now, but be sure to add it to your list for next fall. It’s only two hours from Charlotte!
